- Talc is one of the oldest fillers, is cheap and available in a number of sizes from 1 kilo bucket to 25 kilo bags.
- Q Cel is an inorganic microshperes, lightweight and easy to sand. Used in polyester and epoxy resins.
- Cabosil is an extremely light thickening agent. Can be mixed with q cel to create a non sag fairing compound.
- Cotton Floc can be used to thicken resin to make a reinforced glue powder. Should not be used below waterline.
- Phenolic Micro-balloons or Phenolic Bubbles Easy to sand in both polyester and epoxy resins. Is well known as a preferred product below the waterline. Available in a number of sizes.
- Chopped Strands are used as a reinforcement in resins where adding mat can be difficult. Can also be added to resins that have had fillers added to strengthen the filler.
- Graphite Powder can be added to resins to create a low friction surface.
- Glass Beads can be added or broadcast over resin or paint to help create a non-slip surface.
- Many other “things” can be added to rein to make a useful surface or filler.
- Alumina Hydrated Powder- Helps with fire retardant resin
- Milled Fibre- For high compressive strength.
- Aluminium Powder and Iron Powder- Creates wear resistant surfaces and machine ability.
