Making fibreglass panels from 4 layers of 600 gsm chopped strand mat and 1 layer of double bias. These will become hatches on a Schionning design.

Steps in creating hatch panels

• Waxed down the table with TR release wax to ensure the finished panel will lift away.
• A layer of double bias and three layers of 600 gsm chopped strand mat (grams per square metre) with Ultratec unwaxed resin.
• Finishing with one more layer of 600gsm and polplex waxed resin.
• Once cured lift off the table and it’s ready for cutting to required sizes.
